New full members are welcome. The easiest way to see if our sport is for you is to sign up for an introduction to pistol shooting. The fee for the intro course is $85.00. The course will cover an introduction to our range and a course of fire with pistols shooting various calibres, under the supervision of our Chief Range Officer or a club approved Training Officer.
You must have a valid “A” Class firearms license in order to attend the introduction (and apply for club membership).
To attend, simply pay the $85 fee (bank details below) and email your banking receipt along with your mobile phone number to the club secretary. The Chief Range Officer will be in contact with you to arrange a date for the intro shoot.
If you would like to move on and become a full member after the introduction, you will be on probation for six months from your induction. You must attend 12 shoots (including the intro shoot) within the six-month period. You will be given a card by the training officer to record each shoot you attend before sitting your range safety exam. It is your responsibility to take care of this card and bring it to each training session.
Training will be given on all aspects of gun safety, gun handling and shooting skills. Training will be conducted by the CRO or a club approved training officer at 10am on Sundays, prior to the club shoot at 1pm each Sunday.
On successfully completing your probationary period, passing the range safety exam and holster course, you will be able to apply for a Pistol Club Member Target Pistol endorsement to your firearms license (also known as a “B Cat”.)
You can shoot a maximum of three times (including your intro shoot) before having to join the club, although we prefer you do that immediately following the intro. To join, pay the fees and download and complete the membership application and email the club secretary.

Interim Fee Notice
An SGM held on December 17, 2023 voted for the club to move its financial year from April 1 to March 31 to July 1 to June 30 in order to meet the requirements of the new Firearms Regulations and to align with PNZ’s financial year for reporting purposes.
Fees for the 2024-2025 financial year remain the same as the previous year and will be billed in April, 2024. Please note to maintain membership fees must be paid before the due date (June 30th). Under the Firearms Regulations a member whose fees remain outstanding after 28 days automatically ceases to be a member of the club and the club is required to report this to Police via a 28-day change notice that will entail Police revoking your pistol club target pistol shooting firearms license endorsement.
To bridge the gap between the old and new financial years we are sending out an invoice in January 2024 in the sum of $33.75 to cover the period April 1 to June 30, 2024.
